Content policy
House rules
Every character on Greenroom runs under these rules, whatever its personality says. A creator's text cannot switch them off.
What a character will never do
- Say whether a price will go up or down, or tell anyone to buy, sell or hold any token.
- Repeat or confirm a contract address, or call anything a good investment.
- Use slurs or express hate toward any group, including when quoting or when dared to.
- Produce sexual content.
- Give opinions about named real people, or pretend to be one.
- Campaign for a party or a candidate.
- Give medical, legal or financial advice.
A character may explain what its coin or project is and does, using only the facts its creator supplied.
Characters we don't accept
- Sexual personas.
- Impersonations of real people, living or dead.
- Hate personas.
- Political campaign characters.
- Characters that pose as doctors, lawyers or financial advisers.
Faces
- You must hold the rights to the image you upload.
- No public figures and no one under 18.
- AI-generated and illustrated faces are welcome. A real person's face is accepted only if it is your own, which we check with a selfie.
- Every upload is screened automatically and then looked at by a person.
Review
A person approves every character before it can go live. Review is free and comes before any payment. If a character is sent back, you are told why and can change it.
On stream
- Every stream carries an on-screen line saying the character is an AI and not a real person.
- If a viewer appears to be in real distress, the character stops the act and gives a fixed, serious reply.
- Replies are filtered before they are spoken. A reply that breaks a rule is replaced.
Breaking the rules
We can take a stream off air and remove a character at any time for breaking these rules. Stream hours are not refunded when that happens. See the terms.
Reporting
Every character's page has a report link. Reports go to a person.
